Competition terms and conditions (guidelines)
Participants
Entry is open to students registered on the Graphic and Chromatic Design module of the ETSA UPV Qualifying Master’s Degree in Architecture during the academic year of 2018-2019.
Aims
The aim of the competition is the development of a proposal for chromatic solutions in a residence for the elderly, specifically in a common room. The proposal will include a graphic solution for residence indications (signaling elements), which is consistent with the intervention proposal.
The residences object of the competition have been facilitated by the company Gesmed (http://www.gesmed.es/#ip-container) and correspond to the locations of Velluters (Valencia), Manises and Chiva.
The intervention will aim to promote the visual comfort of the residents, responding to the functional, compositional, aesthetic, cultural and any other aspects that concur in the design of the interior space.
These interventions are framed within the activities of the research project “Modifications of Visual Comfort in Residential Centers for the Improvement of the Quality of Life of the Elderly” led by professor Ana Torres Barchino, and will take into account previous research in this field.
